f-350 tuner

I bought this and put it on my mostly stock 06' f-350. The change in power is day and night. the truck doesn't have much lag anymore, better fuel mileage, and it lets you moniter everything (except exhust temp without a probe kit) I wouldn't recommend putting this into a stock truck and running it on a extreme and using a lot of throttle, the 6.0 can't handle it... But for fuel mileage and some more power it works wonderfully.

Has some benefits.

I installed this unit in a 2011 Chevy HD. I was really looking for something that would allow me to calibrate my vehicle to adjust for larger tires. This product quickly solved this problem. I also wanted something that would allow me to monitor the EGT's. The new Chevy HD's have two built in pyro's already installed in the exhaust system. This allowed me to monitor both exhaust temps, the one after the turbo and the one after the DPF filter, which gets much hotter during DPF cycles. I did have some issues finding the correct fuse to tap into. A call into Bully Dog's tech support quickly solved this problem as they were able to assist me with what fuse to use.The one negative thing I can say is that the "Driving Coach" feature is completely useless. If you are thinking about buying this unit for that I would not waste your money. The driving coach requires you to accelerate so slowly that you would never get to your destination, and more likely than not anger everyone behind you. I I also tuned my engine to the stock setting and have not seen any improvement in fuel consumption. I was disappointed by this as I was expecting some fuel benefits.Overall it has some great features and is reasonably priced. But don't expect to save fuel as the product claims or you will disappointed.

What a joke

Dont bother buying this product. I installed mine approximately a year ago and initially didn't have problems until I had to update the software in the unit. Down loading updates to the unit are slow and did not always take on the first time. Then resetting the truck to stock and downloading the new program to the truck was next to impossible. After multiple times it finally worked. The instruction manual was of no use to help with this issue. The final straw was updating the unit a month ago. Some how the program did not down load completely to the unit and ended up locking up the unit so it could not be used. After multiple attempts to fix the issue with tech support help I finally had to ship the unit back. After receiving the unit back and installing it on my truck. The unit still refused to download the updated program to the truck. I called tech support and they worked with me in trying to clear the files off the SD card and reload them. But we couldnt do this because the cable supplied by Bully Dog couldnt handle the data transfer rate required to delete and load the new files. Tech support wanted me to go buy and SD adapter so I could load the files directly to the SD card but I refused to spend more time and money on a problem that wasnt my fault. In the end they refused to replace the unit because "the unit wasn't faulty only the software was". I tried to explain that the software is an integral part of the unit functioning properly and therefore the unit was faulty but they refused to help other then to fix the issue if I shipped the unit back at my cost....again.Do not buy this unit! Im upgrading to a Banks system.
